Seems so wrong to fly an aircraft into an airfield - perfectly serviceable and then just pull it to bits. Any idea how many hours were left on the airframe? According to our head scrap guy, David Walton has requested to keep one in a running condition, up to now, he will be able to. It won't be one of these two though.

What progress had they made on '109 today- is it coming to bits yet? just interested in the timescale of dismantling it (hate using the word scrap). Will they completly scrap '109 first or will they work on both together once they get well on with '109?
